From pumpkin patches and hayrides to fall festivals and Halloween happenings, you could easily be booked up every Saturday and Sunday in September and October if you wanted to!

The Red Barn Farm Sunflower & Fall Fest*

Starts Sat. 8/30 and runs through Sun. 11/2

Details: Take a hayride out to our sunflower fields for the perfect photo memories—every guest gets a sunflower to take home! Get lost in nearly 10 acres of our GIANT CORN MAZE, even more challenging than last year’s. When you finally escape, head to the fairgrounds and bounce around on our Jumbo Air Pillow—fun for kids of all ages. Details: Hay bales, cornstalks, mums and pumpkins take over the landscape here at Storybook Land. Your pay-one-price admission to Storybook Land includes unlimited rides, along with access to all of our storybook attractions! Tri State Sunflower Festival

Dates: Starts Sat. Sept 6 and runs through Sun. Oct 26; open 10am–7pm in September and 10am–6pm in October (CLOSED TUESDAYS). 

Details: The Tri State Sunflower Festival at Dalton Farms is a vibrant celebration of the beauty and joy of sunflowers. Enjoy strolling through fields of blooming sunflowers, participate in U-Pick Zinnias and sunflowers, and experience a variety of fun attractions and events for the whole family. (Opening date can depend on bloom/weather.)

Pumpkin Fest

Dates: Starts Sat. Sept 6 and runs through Sun. Oct 26; open 10am–7pm in September and 10am–6pm in October (CLOSED TUESDAYS). 

Details: Pumpkin Fest at Dalton Farms is a delightful fall celebration featuring a pumpkin patch, pumpkin town, tractor rides, live music, and a host of family-friendly activities. Join us to pick your perfect pumpkin and enjoy the festive autumn atmosphere!

Apple Festival at Mood's Farm Market

Sat. Sept 6, 10am-4pm

Details: The Donut Eating Contests begin at 1:00pm. Always said you could eat a whole bag of donuts? Now is your chance to prove it while the crowd cheers you on. The winner receives a cash prize and a bag of donuts. One adult contest and two kids contests will be held.

Live music throughout the day:

The Jazztones from 10:00am–12:30pm. 

The One Way Express from 1:30pm–4:00pm

Additional activities include vendors selling candles, flowers, antiques, décor, and more. Hayrides run every twenty minutes from 10:00am–4:00pm. The grand opening of the maze takes place this day. Face painting and children’s activities will be available all day.

Food options include hot dogs, hamburgers, apple cider donuts, apple cider donut sundaes, and more. Mood’s also offers apple and pumpkin picking hayrides nearly daily during September and October.

Reed's Farm Fall Fest

Sat. Sept. 6, 10 am- 2pm

The fall bazaar will have tons of family friendly fun like face painting, costume contests, pie eating contests, lawn games, photo ops, and DJ Lousy spinning an all vinyl set inside the farm shop! & of course, everything else Reed’s Farm has to offer like: a bakery & kitchen, serving up incredible pastries and farm to table foods, like their legendary pizzas, a coffee bar, farm fresh produce, an indoor market, and cute farm animals, all of whom are rescued.

Details: Mood’s Farm Market is a favorite South Jersey destination for family-friendly fall fun. Visitors can enjoy: Pumpkin Hayrides – Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch, pick your own pumpkin, and enjoy apple cider and a fresh apple cider donut.

Corn Maze – A festive, family-friendly maze with a new theme each year. Takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Apple and Pumpkin Picking – Hayrides for picking run nearly daily during September and October.

Seasonal Festivals – Special events like the Donut Festival (Sept. 6) feature live music, contests, children’s activities, food, and local vendors Market Treats – Fresh apple cider donuts, cider donut sundaes, hot dogs, hamburgers, and seasonal favorites are available at the farm market.

Fall Harvest Festival at Johnson's Corner Farm*

Details: Hayrides to the Apple Orchards, Pumpkin Fields, and Corn Maze will leave weekends starting at 10AM and ending at 5PM.Our Fall Food Tent will be open every weekend with our Famous Pulled Pork sandwich, hot dogs, nachos and Farm Made French Fries. The Street Fair kicks off at Crystal Lake Pool (W. Park Blvd. & Crystal Lake Ave.) and extends all the way down West Park Boulevard. Enjoy live music, dance performances, rides, bounce houses, obstacle courses, kids’ entertainment, food trucks, games, health and wellness activities, arts and crafts, artisans, community groups, and school and municipal organizations. Back by popular demand are the Apple Pie Baking Contest and the Wing Eating Contest.

The Jam Fest at the Lake (Crystal Lake Pool Complex) runs from Noon–9:00pm with live music all day on the main stage, plus a beer garden, food trucks, ping pong, corn hole, and more.

Zimmerman's Country Market Fall Fun*

Details: We invite you to come and enjoy the farm in the fall! Come for a hayride with the family to Hilda's house. The kids get a surprise from Hilda's cauldron and get a small pumpkin. The kids can enjoy the fall fun field before and after the hayride. They can take a ride on the cow train. Before you go, you can stop in our market and buy a pumpkin to carve later on in the evening and some of our scratch-made baked goods to enjoy all weekend long!

Details: ALL A BOO DiDonato’s Trick-or-Treat Train is a little goblin-friendly Halloween outdoor train ride that will leave the whole family laughing and gasping for more. Details: Blackwood, NJ comes alive on the first Sunday of October with entertainers, vendors, shoppers and families who converge on the area for the 31st Annual Blackwood Pumpkin Festival. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of visitors have attended. Details: This year's Barnyard Bash will be an open house style! Come to the Barnyard on Sundays in October between the hours of 1p-4 pm for a hayride, pumpkin picking (from a REAL patch), barrel train rides, visit with our Barnyard Animals and our 2024 CORN MAZE!! It will take about 2 hours to complete all the activities. Cost is $20/child and includes all activities (wagon ride, animal visits, corn maze. barrel train rides) AND pumpkin with decorating kit. Freedom Farm's Fall Festival

Details: Everyone is welcome! There will be a basket raffle, pumpkin painting, a hay ride, food trucks, desserts, face painting, music, craft vendors, firetruck and ambulance tours, and other rescues with adoptable pets! It’s going to be an amazing day! Our events are always a blast! Come on out, meet all our rescued residents, tour our 43 acre sanctuary, and go home with some Freedom Farm Animal Rescue merch! Although we are an animal sanctuary we ask you to please leave your fur-babies at home.

Mullica Hill Fall Festival & Living History Weekend

Details: Mullica Hill’s Annual Fall Festival, now celebrating its 52nd year, promises a weekend filled with seasonal family fun! This year’s festivities feature live music, two craft courtyards, glass-blowing demonstrations, delicious food trucks, and an array of activities for the kiddos, including free bounce houses, entertainment by Jonathan the Juggler plus a mesmerizing magic show, and so much more. Cape May County Zoo's Annual Boo at the Zoo!

Details:  Visitors of all ages are invited to wear a costume to this fun family event, which includes activities for the kids, craft station, games, candy, entertainment, animals, inflatable obstacle course, pirate ship, and more. A Costume Contest will start at 11:00 a.m., registration begins at 10:00 a.m. An awards presentation will follow the Halloween costume contest. The Cape May Dancers will perform at 12:00 p.m. with a live animal presentation in the boneyard throughout the day. Master DJ & Sound will be rocking the event with some special Halloween tunes.
